Whoa

In the very beginning I was like "wtf? this is weird" as I thought it was only boom and bang. but after that there was a damn mess. I think your mic needs a real cleanup! The voices sounds horrible in this song, meant by the clearity. I didn´t catch what it was saying.

Nice beats and melodies, really kick ass bass in it!

Boooooo. I think the crackling god-awful mic defines this track. If it had been a clean recording, I don't think it would have nearly as much personality. I recorded it on a shitty old mic from kmart that I stomped on for a while before recording. I like to try new things...

Thanks for review!

Man

This wasn´t that good... The 8-nit style you put in it wasn´t especially lovable, I really don´t like video game-style tracks this much, and the brutal change of melodies in the middle made me jump in the chair! However, the melody was great, and I loved the bass in this, and especially the effects!

Great work once again!

Gillenium responds:

Pooey on you, this is my fav! The 8-bit thing was a little experiment in the vast chasm of experimentation contained in this project. I'm bored if I keep doing the same thing. Thanks for the review though, and might I say that the first and last statements in your review are completely contradictory XD

Huhah

The start wasn´t that good, I think you abused your pitch bend a bit- it didn´t sound good.
But after the start it gains "betterness" You style is unique, I wish I could make songs like these. Nice delays and a really good mein melody in this.

Gillenium responds:

I've never been good at intros. I've come to embrace this though. For most of my newer songs, I try to make the intro purposefully amateurish, so I can weed out the reviewers who actually listened to the WHOLE song. Glad you liked it!

Aww man...

Really a great track you´ve got there. But question- where is part 1? I can´t seem to find it.
I love flutes, and you did a great work doing this. I would like to know a story in this, as it seems like there is. I´ve seen you on the Ambient top for a while! I think this really deserves it :)

Gillenium responds:

Part one is here, too. I hid it...

The story... Well, the whole thing is based on my experiences at a cabin in Canaan Valley, WV. I often base my songs on visual things.. as strange as that may sound. Just about every song on this page is based around ideas or imagery from a movie, video game, or place. Thanks for the review!

Nice track!

I loved the ambient feel to this. Great melody, the bassline was good, but I felt you could take the hard drum in the start a bit down for a soft feeling.
The structure was nice, and the different melodies played good at each time. (Mostly pads though)

good work!

Gillenium responds:

I may have invented a genre with this... it's ambient/christmas/idm/hiphop. That's quite a strange mix... what was I thinking?? Thanks for the review, lol.

Well...

If no one makes a flash with these tunes they should *!#$%&.
The loops are perfect for it, and they are short, sophisticated yet simple.
too bad they all can get confused with each other, each track has it´s own variety, but at times I think they might get boring because they are all pretty the same style.

That includes a basic drum beat, a basic bassline, and then a special melody, often in a twisted style, then you add one or two countermelodies.

You`ve done this in a lot of your tracks, sooo, they might get boring because of the lack of variety.
Well, there´s variety, but I`d like to see you make something very different.

How about a long, full song for 3 min or so? If you made that, I could think of how it would be, and it´d be awesome.

One day.

I was going to continue on with this and make it more complex, but I didn't have the time (mainly because my FL saves are corrupted, and I've tried reinstalling) so, sorry about some of the lameish music, it'll get better.

Obscure

It sounds really strange, I`ve never heard anything like that before, but I don`t know if I want to either. Sounds like a not so good trance version of ParagonX9, but it had some really good points.

Not the best melody, it was pretty repetative and boring.
It was not annoying though, but quite in-your-face, but I did miss some of it.

It doesn´t sound much like a song you want to download and listen to again, because of the huge lack of diversity.

You could add a lot, and also spice it up with countermelodies and drums, new synth leads and pads.

Hi

SBB`s alt if you didn`t know, made for the sole purpose of dealing blam points. (Mr. Mock)

This was good, but there was no melody here.
However, ambient music don`t neccesary need any melody at all, like my Beast songs.

This had a really slow beginning. It went pretty boring and I nearly fell asleep. However, after that, it went pretty sick. Awesome use of cave effects into a rather original and newthinking track.

Nice drum work, and they really fitted with the drumbass. The ending was awesome, but it went overboard at certain parts, though.

Good work on making a really long and good track!

MenialConstruct responds:

I had been listening to Authechre and some f AFX and was inspired to make an ambient piece liek so. I'm not sure if you heard of them, but you would see why it came out like so.

Acutally the song was longer but I had to cut it a bit to fit on NG withut lowering the quality.

Thanks for the review man :D
